The person behind OSU

How I ended
up here.

I’m an English teacher who got slightly addicted to padel.

I played for seven or eight years simply because I loved the game. But eventually, just playing wasn’t enough anymore. I felt something was missing from my game, and I wanted to understand how to actually get better.

So I started taking lessons. One coach became several. I trained more, asked more questions and became increasingly curious about why we play the way we do, and what really helps us improve.

Somewhere along the way, two parts of my life started coming together: teaching and padel. I took a coaching course and started organising Saturday socials. What began as a few games gradually became a community, and I found myself creating the kind of padel experience I had always enjoyed: social, competitive and with something to learn from.

That’s really how OSU began. It comes from a pretty simple idea: play more, meet good people, understand your game and enjoy getting better along the way.
